About Our Firm
The word “zared” has Hebrew origins and refers to the renewed vitality and richness of a place or piece of land. The corporation takes this name to signify our commitment to revitalizing neighborhoods, resuscitating urban commercial corridors, proposing eco-friendly development, preserving historical details and supporting the community cultures that make places so special.
Responding to the complex challenges of the urban environment, the mission of our firm is to create new standards for the provision of cost-effective, environmentally and contextually sensitive solutions to urban development and the innovative re-use of earlier architecture.
The firm was established in 2003 by principal and owner, Regina L. Winters. We are headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut, serving clients nationwide.
The work of Zared Enterprises is divided into two divisions:
Zared Architecture’s charge is specifically to provide solutions to architectural design and urban planning programs in a variety of settings, urban and suburban, residential commercial and institutional.
Zared Development provides consulting services to not-for-profit development corporations charged with the development of affordable housing or urban commercial revitalization.
ZARED Enterprises, LLC is an MBE and WBE registered with the State of Connecticut.
